The Pizza
Since 1974, Louie’s has been using the same family recipe for our pizza sauce, dough, and cheese. We make everything from scratch daily, nothing is ever frozen.
These recipes have been passed down from Louie to his sons, Tony & Tim. Over 50 years later, Tony’s kids, the third generation of the Gouvas family, prepare it everything daily.
The Grinders & Subs
Louie’s is the “Home of the Grinder”, we take our delicious subs and cook them in our pizza oven to crisp the bread and melt the cheese, there’s nothing else like it.
We use fresh-baked Liscios Italian Bakery bread for all our subs and grinders. The bread gets delivered in the mornings, so it’s nice and fresh to start the day. All of our meats, veggies, and cheeses are sliced in-house daily. We also use local produce from Teddy Bear Produce, a supplier of local produce that sources our ingredients from right here in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
The Boardwalk Fries
We’ve been hand-cutting fresh Idaho potatoes and cooking them in 100% peanut oil since the day we opened.
Originally served at George’s Lunch (pictured above), when Louie opened Louie’s Pizza, he got a potato cutter and started hand-cutting fries, blanching them, and cooking them in 100% peanut oil to make the best-tasting french fry at the beach. We season our fries with fine sea salt and keep it simple.
